I've been watching NBA for three months, more accurately, the Celtics.I have to say that i did not care about basketball before,i watched some tennis games(only if Sampras played, and i will cheer for whoever Federer play against...),some football games(oh lord how my Chelsea/sheva has been sinking),basketball is pretty much my last option when surfing the sport channels.I just can't watch 200 pounds guys exchange physical contacts with another for 48 minutes.

But this year, something is different.

It was so fundamental. Celtics ran great plays. I got a whole new outlook on the sport and it opened up my eyes.I was all into it a few months ago so I watched a few Celtics games when they were on TV at the beginning. And then I watched a few more. Then I actually read NBA stories in the paper and on the Internet. Jesus.I thinkes i just crossed the line of being a bandwagon jumper.

This team  fascinates me with their intensity of play highly executed defense, ebullient offensive and determination about being a professional.I think the arrival of Kevin Garnett has revitalized their resolution to win the title, after the miserable failure last season, the Celtics simply have nothing else to aim for.It is not the best record of the league and certainly not a MVP trophy. They want nothing but the ring of champion.

If anyone has any interest to know,my favor player of Celtics is Rajon Rondo. He maybe just a second-year point guard with little experience of runing the team, but he also shows flashes of brilliance in every game he played.Last year people thought the point guard position in Boston was a problem,by the end of regular season, Rondo has proven to all the doubters that he makes his stand among the starting five. Rondo simply exceeds every expectation put on him and I firmly believe we are only seeing a glimpse of the potential he really has.

There is one guy who seems to always throw his two cents in is Tommy Heinsohn, our uber-homer announcer, who is always talking about being aggressive on offense, taking shot any given chance and driving hard to the lane.I can't say that i don't share the same affection Tommy has offered,i too enjoy watching Rondo out jumps everyone in the paint and grabs the offensive rebound,it made my skin crawl everytimes i saw it on TV.

It's also funny how people still has trouble remembering his name.Last night Rondo won the Celtics 6th star award and let's just say it was a disaster. First, Sullivan tire owner Paul Sullivan who was looking a little messy didn't even know his name and called him Ronja. Then, Comcast's Bill Bridged didn't make much sense either. Finally, Tommy just called him Rondo and started talking about phone numbers,i can feel tommy' s impatience grew during interview,i just love the way he tried to pump up Rondo's confidence.I was also very impressed with Rondo kept a pretty straight face while Sullivan was talking. I don't know if I could have.

This has been a good year for both Celtics and me, right now i'm just waiting for the playoffs to start, hopefully we can come home with the 17th champion title.
